Our client, a leading AmLaw 100 law firm, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Litigation Staff Attorney to join their Banking Litigation Practice Group. This is a hybrid role, providing an opportunity to work both remotely and from one of the firm’s offices in NY, FL, NJ, or PA. This is a non-partnership track position.
Candidate Profile:
- JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record.
- Bar Admission in relevant jurisdiction.
- 3–5 years of substantive litigation experience, including drafting motions, handling discovery, taking and defending depositions, and appearing at court hearings.
- Strong knowledge of Articles 3 and 4 of the UCC and experience with consumer protection statutes, including EFTA, FCRA, FDCPA, UDAAP, TILA, and RESPA.
- Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in a range of banking and consumer litigation matters, handling all aspects of litigation from inception to resolution.
- Draft motions, pleadings, and other legal documents with precision and clarity.
- Conduct and manage discovery, including depositions and document review.
- Appear in court for hearings and other proceedings as needed.
- Advise clients on compliance and risk mitigation strategies related to banking and consumer protection statutes.
