Job Summary
The Practice Leader / Senior Project Manager (Civil Engineer) will oversee land development projects, providing technical leadership, project management, and business development expertise. This role requires a Professional Engineer (PE) license and 10+ years of experience in civil engineering, with a strong background in site grading, drainage, roadway, and utility design. The ideal candidate will have a track record of leading teams, managing client relationships, and driving business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership
- Lead planning, design, and execution of complex land development projects.
- Manage project teams to ensure high-quality deliverables within timelines and budgets.
- Serve as the primary client contact, ensuring expectations are met throughout the project.
- Coordinate with municipalities, clients, and internal teams to streamline project execution.
Technical Expertise
- Oversee and supervise site grading, drainage, roadway, and utility design.
- Ensure all projects comply with local, state, and federal building codes and environmental standards.
- Utilize Civil 3D, GIS, and other engineering software for design and analysis.
- Stay updated on industry trends and integrate new technologies into project workflows.
Team Development
- Mentor and lead a team of engineers, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program (Master’s or MBA preferred).
- Professional Engineering (PE) license required.
- 10+ years of civil engineering experience, with a strong focus on land development projects.
- Proven ability to lead and manage engineering teams.
- Expertise in civil engineering principles, design practices, and construction methods.
- Strong understanding of business development, financial management, and strategic planning.
- Proficiency in relevant engineering software and tools.
