Job Overview:
Our firm is looking for a highly experienced and licensed Civil Engineer to join our Public Works Department in Phoenix, AZ as a Senior Project Manager. This position requires a technical expert with at least 10 years of hands-on experience in public works engineering, strong project leadership skills, and a track record in client relationship management and business development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead planning, design, and execution of complex public works projects, ensuring quality, budget adherence, and on-time completion.
• Manage engineering teams and coordinate with clients, municipalities, and support staff to maintain smooth project execution.
• Oversee site grading, drainage, roadway, and utility design, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Conduct technical analysis, utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and GIS, and integrate best engineering practices into project workflows.
• Act as the primary client liaison, ensuring their expectations and project requirements are met.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers while fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities, prepare project proposals, and support business expansion efforts.

Qualifications:

✔ P.E. License (Professional Engineer) – Required.
✔ Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (ABET-accredited program required).
✔ Minimum of 10 years of progressive civil engineering experience focused on public works projects.
✔ Strong technical expertise in engineering design, construction methods, and regulatory compliance.
✔ Proficiency in Civil 3D, GIS, and hydrologic/hydraulic modeling tools.
✔ Experience in business development, including client acquisition, proposal preparation, and project presentations.
✔ Excellent communication, team management, and problem-solving skills.
