Job Description:

Regional Sales Brokerage Division- This is a high visibility role, responsible for selling our Brokerage (TL, RF, Flatbed, IML, Flatbed, Liquid Bulk and Drayage) Services. Your responsibilities will include market penetration that generates new billable revenue, expansion of company specific vertical expertise, conducting a blend of F2F/Virtual meetings, developing supply chain focused solutions, and closing business. As part of the Commercial SCS Sales Team, you’ll contribute not only by achieving revenue targets but share insights, best practices in transportation, and support the overall success of the division.

Background Required:

  • Outside sales / Business Development within transportation/freight brokerage (3-7 years)
  • Service offering (i.e. TL, RF, Flatbed, IML, Liquid Bulk, and Drayage)
  • Documented experience selling to small and medium businesses (SMB) along with large multi-national account segments
  • Experience presenting to Director, V-level
  • Strong Negotiation Ability (Customer, Margin Integrity)
  • Contractual Business Process (RFP, RFI, RFQ)
  • Develop and execute business plan strategies
  • High proficiency to utilize Microsoft Office Suite (Power Point, Word, Excel, and OneNote)
  • Residence: USA

 

Qualifications:

  • Prospecting: research, identify, qualify and outreach to prospects for Our client and close new business
  • Utilize inbound lead follow ups, outbound cold calls, and e-mails to generate new business through lead generation.
  • Identify opportunities to further penetrate accounts by selling diversified brokerage service portfolio
  • Develop and present supply chain solutions using executive summary proposals
  • Liaison between customer and multiple internal departments, I.E. Account Management, Marketing, Pricing, Accounting and Sales Enablement
  • Daily logging in Sugar CRM, reporting and communication of sales meeting/prospecting activity to Director of SCS Sales
  • Set the tone and pace for the business by demonstrating personal dedication, energy and drive to produce solid growth and performance
  • Deadline oriented – ability to organize workload around key deliverable deadlines – such as those dictated by RFP’s, client commitments or internal commitments
  • Strong interpersonal skills (including excellent oral and written communication), with the ability to quickly establish credibility and respect with a broad range of diverse business partners, both internally and externally, in a manner that consistently produces results.
  • Leverage efficiency Sales Tools to increase velocity in pipelines that achieve optimal outcomes. I.E. LinkedIn Navigator, ZoomInfo & D&B Hoovers.
  • Stay informed of customers' business, industry, and sector to identify opportunities and articulate value
  • 50% of time should be spent in front of targeted potential accounts and 50% of time should be spent in your home office
  • Travel required 25%
