About the Role:We are seeking a driven and talented Senior Planner for our Chicago office. This role offers the opportunity to lead planning and design projects, cultivate client relationships, and contribute to the growth of our practice.

Job Responsibilities:- Lead and expand urban planning and design services, focusing on areas such as comprehensive planning, transportation, GIS, zoning, environmental studies, corridor analysis, housing strategies, strategic master planning, and placemaking.
- Deliver high-quality planning solutions across diverse project types, ensuring client satisfaction and adherence to timelines.
- Develop and execute strategies for public outreach and engagement, including facilitating presentations and workshops.
- Guide team members and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including engineers and consultants, to advance project goals.
- Contribute to business development efforts by identifying opportunities, crafting proposals, and fostering partnerships.
- Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and community forums, enhancing the firms reputation and market presence.
- Secure grants, technical assistance, and funding opportunities for clients and partners.
- Drive innovation and technical excellence in all planning and design deliverables.
- Mentor junior staff and promote professional growth across the team.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Urban Planning, Urban Design, Geography, or a related field preferred.
- A minimum of 8 years of professional planning experience, with a focus on the Texas Market
- Experience managing projects and supervising interdisciplinary teams.
- Strong track record of delivering impactful planning solutions and designs.
- AICP certification preferred.
- Exceptional decision-making, strategic planning, and business development abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects effectively.
- Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills, with proficiency in public engagement.
- Experience with software such as Microsoft Office Suite, ArcGIS, Adobe Creative Cloud, and SketchUp (additional proficiencies are a plus).
