IMPACT
The Senior IT Manager, Finance and Accounting is responsible for the Finance and Accounting systems and services using a variety of applications (SAAS and On Premise) including governance and compliance. You will provide strategic leadership to programs/projects related to the Finance and Accounting digital transformation from Oracle EBS to Fusion financials, while partnering with business leadership.

A DAY IN THE LIFE
- This position is responsible for appropriate staffing, people management, performance management and overall scheduling and capacity planning for a team of four people.
- Lead IT Finance and Accounting business applications team to provide strategy, implementation, maintenance, support and continuous improvement.
- Coach, mentor and manage direct reports to implement, maintain and support all related software.
- Own all system configurations, integrations, workflows, reporting and analytics in the area of Finance and Accounting.
- Participate/Provide strategic leadership in cross functional programs/projects.
- Analyze, document, communicate changes, design and develop solutions considering the overall impact to current business processes, integrations and reports with cross business users.
- Provide service level management including SLAs, incident and enhancement ticket management as well as delivery of smaller projects are key job duties.
- Partner with the development, integration, and testing teams to produce quality solutions and timely results.
- Responsible for quarterly patch evaluation, analyzing new or changed functionality, developing test plan, unit testing and coordinating with business users in testing activities to ensure business continuity and continuous improvement.
- Participate in M&A activities and understand the overall impact to current business processes, integrations and reports.
- Work with cross functional business groups to lead/execute the integration plan.
IDEAL PROFILE
- 10+years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience.
- 4+ years of experience in a people leadership / management role, responsible for the IT Finance and Accounting business applications team.
- Expertise in the implementation and support of ERP applications, especially Oracle EBS, including leading a digital transformation from Oracle EBS to the Cloud (Fusion Financials / Oracle Cloud), supporting the finance and accounting areas.
- Experience in utilizing and managing SaaS applications in the Finance area.
- Proven ability to serve as an advisor to the business. Comfortable challenging requests. Prior consulting experience is a plus.
- Self-motivated, directed and change oriented.
- Ability to communicate concepts in clear and concise to management and to cross-functional departments or teams verbally and in writing.
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business or Information Technology degree from an accredited university required.
- Local to the Birmingham area or willing to relocate upon hire (from within the USA).
