Manufacturing Accountant

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Manufacturing Accountant. This role is essential in providing financial insights to support manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, a solid foundation in financial analysis, and experience in a manufacturing industry.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze financial results against plans, forecasts, and budgets to identify trends and variances.
• Gather, organize, and document relevant financial information to support decision-making.
• Develop and manage financial models to assess the financial impact of various business scenarios.
• Conduct cost-accounting analysis, including standard cost variance analysis and inventory valuation.
• Participate in the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
• Evaluate capital expenditure proposals to assess financial viability and return on investment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial support and analysis.
• Perform other accounting and financial analysis tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with at least 2 years of relevant experience, or a business degree with 5 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.
• Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Proven project management skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Experience in cost accounting, internal auditing, and capital expenditure evaluation.
