Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated Lead Manufacturing Test Engineer to provide technical leadership as we start up our new assembly line. This role involves leading the efforts to equip production line test equipment and bring a full assembly line into production, ensuring products are built correctly and tested consistently.  As lead manufacturing test engineer, you will become the subject matter expert for manufacturing test functions in this facility.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Equipment Planning and Installation:
    • Lead the planning and installation process, including reviewing design, procuring, installing, and debugging of test equipment to ensure startup readiness.
  • Training and Support:
    • Train assembly and technical support staff on troubleshooting test equipment and product issues, and conduct root cause evaluations.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Engage with team members on continuous improvement efforts, including test equipment optimization and innovating solutions for new applications.
  • Procedure Development:
    • Develop procedures for calibration checks, adjustments, and preventive maintenance work on various in line and end of line production test equipment.
  • Team Development:
    • Coach, mentor, and develop Test Engineering personnel.

Qualifications:

Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.

Experience:

  • Required:
    • 5+ years of experience working in a manufacturing test environment.
    • Experience with control systems or functional test systems and equipment.
    • Good facilitation and communication skills.
    • Ability to work in a team environment.
    • Strong organizational skills.
  • Preferred:
    • Demonstrated programming experience (LabVIEW, Python, Visual Basic, C++, PLC).
    • PLC/Controls experience.
    • Project management and leadership experience.
