Location: Pittsburgh, PA
We are seeking a full-time Primary Care Physician to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care in a community health center setting. This role focuses on delivering high-quality, cost-effective medical services across the lifespan while collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive outpatient primary care, including evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of acute and chronic conditions
- Perform complete physical exams and preventative care services
- Order and interpret laboratory tests and imaging (including X-rays, CTs, MRIs as appropriate)
- Prescribe medications and coordinate referrals to specialists when needed
- Perform in-office procedures within scope of practice
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EHR
- Provide follow-up care and patient education to individuals and families
- Collaborate with behavioral health and other clinical teams to support integrated care
- Supervise and coordinate activities of clinical support staff as needed
- Participate in community health education initiatives
- Respond appropriately to medical emergencies within the clinical setting
Qualifications:
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
- Active Pennsylvania medical license (or ability to obtain)
- Experience in a community health or outpatient setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of clinical best practices, regulatory standards, and accreditation requirements
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond effectively in urgent situations
- Proficiency with EMR systems and general computer applications
