Position Summary
As the Business Manager, you’ll serve as the driving force behind sales growth and strategic execution for cutting edge engineered-to-order capital equipment systems. This role blends business development and strategic account management in a cross-functional team oriented setting with a focus on process engineering of complex equipment.
You’ll work in a hybrid capacity from suburban Chicago, IL, collaborating with engineering, operations, and leadership teams to support customers and scale the business.
What You’ll Do
· Drive and manage the full sales cycle of capital equipment from inquiry to contract
· Develop strong long-term relationships with engineering and purchasing decision-makers
· Partner with process engineering teams to align solutions with client specifications
· Lead company presence at trade shows, conferences, and technical events
· Create and refine marketing materials, case studies, presentations on digital content used online and on social media
· Support brand positioning, competitive analysis, and market intelligence activities
What You’ll Bring
· Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering preferred
· More than 5 years experience selling capital equipment or process engineering systems
· Strong knowledge of engineered-to-order or technical sales environments
· Strong technical knowledge and familiarity with chemistry
· Customer-focused with ability to manage complex projects and programs
· Excellent communication and leadership skills
· Prior experience working with manufacturing or industrial equipment clients
· Ability to travel about 25% of the time domestically and internationally as required
