Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Test Technician to join our team in Champlin. In this role, you will be responsible for the setup, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical systems, including NEMA low and medium voltage switchgear, ATS’s, circuit breakers, and protective relays. You will also provide technical support and contribute to the development and delivery of training related to client applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive testing and troubleshooting of control systems using PLC/HMI platforms.
• Document and report testing results accurately and promptly.
• Assist with redline drawing updates and maintain effective working relationships with manufacturers and vendors.
• Stay updated on industry developments and product upgrades, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
• Support Factory Witness Testing, ensuring equipment is safe, calibrated, and properly configured.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Experience or education in electrical equipment testing and troubleshooting.
• Experience or willingness to learn PLCs and HMIs programming.
• Knowledge of 3-phase power systems, including power distribution and circuit protection.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints for power and control systems.
• Strong problem-solving, project management, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

• Ability to sit, bend, or stand for extended periods and operate testing equipment safely.
• Flexibility to work varied hours as needed.
