Job Title: Plant Manager – Manufacturing & Assembly
Our client is seeking a Plant Manager to lead day-to-day manufacturing and assembly operations within a metal component production environment. This role is heavily focused on stabilizing, standardizing, and improving existing processes while also building a scalable operational foundation to support future business growth. The Plant Manager is accountable for safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance and will play a key role in driving operational discipline, consistency, and readiness for increased demand.
Key Responsibilities

Lead all plant operations including metal component manufacturing, assembly, materials handling, inventory control, packaging, shipping, and maintenance.

Assess current operational processes, procedures, and workflows; identify gaps, inefficiencies, and areas of inconsistency.

Develop, document, and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to stabilize and improve production execution.

Create and execute an operational plan to support business growth, increased volumes, and new programs.

Ensure performance meets or exceeds targets for safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost.

Plan and deploy labor, equipment, tooling, and floor layouts to meet current and future customer demand.

Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety requirements.

Monitor product quality; lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.

Track KPIs and operational metrics; use data to drive continuous improvement.
People Leadership

Hire, train, coach, and develop production and warehouse teams.

Establish clear expectations, accountability, and performance standards.

Evaluate team performance against KPIs and identify skill and training gaps.

Lead regular team meetings to communicate priorities, performance, and improvement initiatives.

Build a culture of ownership, discipline, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.

5+ years of experience in metal manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial assembly environments.

2+ years in a supervisory or operations management role.

Demonstrated success cleaning up operations, implementing SOPs, and improving throughput, quality, and cost.

Experience supporting operational growth, increased volumes, or scaling production.
- Working knowledge of ERP systems, production planning, inventory control, and work order management.
