Accounting Manager – Remote

Do you love working with entrepreneurs?
Are you passionate about making an impact on a growing company?
Then this Accounting Manager role could be a perfect fit!

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager with a no-job-too-small attitude and an entrepreneurial mindset. This is a pivotal position, transitioning from an outsourced accounting model to a permanent in-house role. Starting as the accounting department of one, you’ll need well-rounded accounting skills and the ability to take full ownership of every aspect of the finance function—from A/P to financial reporting and everything in between. As you become familiar with the business, you’ll also provide recommendations to improve efficiency, focus on the right metrics, and ensure the organization is positioned for growth.

In this growing company, your expertise will also be leveraged across the organization—from developing budgets for project proposals to creating project accounting tools, forecasting models, and analyzing data to identify trends. You’ll have the chance to flex your skills, get creative, and try new approaches.

A few notes:
  • This Accounting Manager role is a critical position that combines hands-on accounting ownership with strategic operational support.
  • The ideal candidate is someone who loves accounting, enjoys telling the story of the business through the numbers, and has experience working in a scrappy, fast-paced environment.
  • This is the first internal accounting position for the company, making it a highly visible and impactful role.
  • The candidate will manage day-to-day financial operations for both internal employees and a large consultant population, provide insights to leadership, and contribute to process improvements.
  • Importantly, this role is designed to grow into broader financial oversight, with a clear path toward Assistant Controller, Controller, and eventually CFO.
