Our client, a leading AmLaw 100 national law firm, is seeking a talented mid-to-senior level Associate Attorney to join its thriving Employment Litigation Practice in Seattle. This is an exciting opportunity to work on sophisticated employment litigation matters within a collaborative team, serving major employers across industries.
Candidate Profile
- JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record
- Active Bar Admission in Washington State, in good standing, or ability to become barred promptly at start of employment
- 3+ years of substantive employment litigation experience
- Experience representing employers before federal and state courts
- Strong understanding of federal and Washington state employment laws and regulations
- Demonstrated ability to handle all aspects of complex litigation, including briefing, discovery, depositions, and motion practice
- Prior experience at a large Washington defense firm or a smaller boutique firm handling sophisticated employment matters
- Excellent writing, research, and oral advocacy skills, with strong attention to detail
- Collaborative mindset and a commitment to providing exceptional client service
Key Responsibilities
- Represent clients in employment-related litigation before federal and state courts
- Conduct factual investigations and manage complex discovery, including Electronically Stored Information (ESI)
- Take and defend depositions and participate in court hearings and settlement conferences
- Draft pleadings, substantive briefs, dispositive motions, and other litigation documents
- Support case strategy and collaborate closely with partners and senior attorneys
- Advise clients on litigation risk and provide proactive, business-focused counsel

- Competitive Salary: Annual salary range of $225,000 – $330,000, as determined by experience and market factors
