Job description:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Mammographer to join our radiology team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality mammograms to assist in the early detection and diagnosis of breast abnormalities. This role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and excellent patient care skills to ensure a comfortable and efficient imaging experience.

Perform high-quality mammographic imaging, including screening and diagnostic mammograms.

Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures while ensuring their comfort and safety.

Operate and maintain mammography equipment in accordance with established protocols.

Ensure compliance with radiation safety regulations and quality control standards.

Review images for clarity and accuracy before submitting them for radiologist interpretation.

Maintain accurate patient records and document imaging procedures as required.

Educate patients on the mammography procedure and address any concerns they may have.

Work collaboratively with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.

Assist in quality assurance activities, including equipment calibration and accreditation compliance.

Qualifications:

Certification in Mammography (ARRT, HCPC, or equivalent accreditation).

Degree or diploma in Radiologic Technology or a related field.

Minimum 2 years of experience in mammography (must have practiced within the past two years)

Candidates that do not speak English as first language must have ILETS 6.5 or equivalent.

Candidates are required to register to the Bermuda Health Board upon successful interview.
