Position Summary:
Our client, a leader in the transportation brokerage industry, is seeking a motivated and dynamic Brokerage Sales Representative to join their team. This individual will play a critical role in building strong customer relationships, securing new business opportunities, and ensuring exceptional service delivery. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses a strong understanding of logistics and freight transportation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Development: Proactively identify and secure new business opportunities by prospecting, cold calling, and networking with potential clients in industries requiring freight services.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with shippers, carriers, and partners to foster loyalty and long-term collaboration.
- Freight Coordination: Collaborate with carriers to secure optimal pricing and service levels, ensuring timely and cost-effective transportation solutions.
- Quoting & Negotiations: Provide accurate freight quotes to clients, negotiate pricing agreements, and oversee contractual arrangements.
- Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, industry developments, and competitor activities to provide insights that inform sales strategies and service offerings.
- Customer Service: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing concerns, providing updates on shipments, and resolving service issues promptly.
- Reporting: Maintain detailed records of sales activities, account management tasks, and key performance metrics to meet individual and team goals.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred, but not required.
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience in sales, transportation brokerage, or logistics is preferred. Strong customer service experience is a plus.
