Automation/Controls Technician/Installer
Our client is seeking an experienced Automation/Controls Technician/Installer to support Building Automation System (BAS) installations. This role will involve mounting control components, installing low voltage wiring, performing terminations, conducting system start-ups, and troubleshooting systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with building automation systems, possess a CT E2 or L6 License, and demonstrate the ability to deliver high-quality installations and service.
Key Responsibilities:

BAS Installation:
- Mount and install control components, including sensors, thermostats, and controllers, as part of Building Automation System (BAS) installations.
- Install conduit, low voltage wiring, and perform terminations in accordance with project specifications.

System Start-Up and Checkout:
- Conduct system start-ups, verifying proper functioning and calibration of all components.
- Perform system testing and troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues.

Troubleshooting and Maintenance:
- Diagnose and repair issues with BAS components, wiring, and controls.
- Respond promptly to service calls for troubleshooting and system repairs.

Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other technicians to ensure timely and accurate installations.
- Communicate with clients and provide status updates on project progress.

Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure installations comply with local codes and regulations, particularly electrical codes.
- Follow all safety protocols during installations, testing, and troubleshooting.
Qualifications:

Licensing and Certification:
- Must hold a valid CT E2 or L6 License.
- Additional certifications in building automation or electrical systems are a plus.

Experience:
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in the installation and maintenance of Building Automation Systems (BAS).
- Experience with low voltage wiring, system start-up, and troubleshooting is essential.
