Our client is an established and respected supplier of ingredients and specialty chemicals sold to manufacturers of food, beverage, nutraceutical, cosmetics, personal care products, and HI&I products. We are searching for a sales professional, based in the Chicagoland region to cover accounts throughout a specific geographical territory in the upper Midwest.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree required (Chemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering, or other natural science preferred)
• 5 years minimum prior experience working for a manufacturer or distributor of functional ingredients sold to companies that produce either food, beverage, nutraceutical, cosmetics, personal care products, and/or HI&I products - in a sales, sales support, or technical service capacity.
• Already have established connections and customers in the territory. All sales are B2B - to manufacturers of food and beverage products, nutritional products, dietary supplements, protein powders, vitamins, cosmetics and personal care products like shampoos, conditioners, hair care, skin care, sun care, lotions, etc. and household care products like floor cleaners, detergents, disinfectants, etc.
• Hunter mentality. Excellent negotiation skills. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Excellent time management and prioritization skills
• Ability to travel – on average - 3 days every other week to visit accounts
• A clean driving record and valid license to drive a car
• A confident and hard-working attitude. Positive, upbeat, and enthusiastic personality
• Already lives within the territory - within a 100 mile radius of Chicago

This is a remote position so candidates will work from a home office and travel as needed to visit with customers and make sales presentation and attend trade shows and expos.
