We are currently seeking a Cost Accountant to support our Finance Team. This is a hybrid role located in our Concord, California location.
Qualified candidate will assist in the maintenance and review of Estimates at Completion (EAC) and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
Help to ensure compliance with revenue recognition standard ASC 606 - Maintain and manage revenue processes to ensure compliance with SOX, US GAAP, SEC and other regulatory requirements
Coordinate with multiple operational teams responsible for the revenue projects working with key team members to analyze manufacturing, sales and general cost center variances; recommend improvements to efficiency and spending
Partner with the finance team to assist with revenue budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning. Prepare outline for and support the annual revenue budgeting process. Provide strategic direction in support of critical revenue cycle initiatives and goals.
Monitor, maintain, and analyze product and project costs in ERP system
Assist with monthly and quarterly closings, financial reporting and analysis
Assist accounting team, as needed
Fundamental understanding of accounting principles
Qualifications
Education: BS in Business, Finance, and or Accounting. Master's Degree highly desirable
