Salary: $65,000 - $70,000
Job SummaryWe are seeking an entry-level or early-career Staff Tax Accountant with 0-2 years of experience in tax accounting to join our dynamic team in Orlando, FL. In this role, you will provide critical support in preparing tax filings, ensuring compliance, and assisting in various tax-related tasks for both individuals and corporations. This position is ideal for a motivated professional eager to build a career in tax accounting and work in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and other entities.
- Assist with tax planning and research to identify potential tax-saving opportunities for clients.
- Support senior accountants and managers with tax audits and resolve any discrepancies in tax filings.
- Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions and documentation to ensure compliance.
- Stay updated on the latest tax regulations and industry standards to maintain compliance.
- Conduct preliminary tax research and provide summaries and analyses for internal team discussions.
- Collaborate with the accounting team on quarterly and year-end tax reporting.
Qualifications:
Qualifications- Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field.
- 0-2 years of experience in tax preparation and compliance (internships or relevant experience a plus).
- Familiarity with tax preparation software and accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, ProSeries, or similar).
- Basic understanding of federal and state tax regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
