- Communicate with customers in person, via phone, and text, listening to their service needs and providing updates accordingly
- Provide detailed explanations of services needed and estimated costs involved
- Review service history and manufacturer guidelines to recommend necessary maintenance or repairs
- Partner with service technicians to ensure work is completed efficiently and to the highest standards; communicate clearly with service technicians to ensure accurate diagnostics and repairs
- Monitor the status of ongoing repairs and keep customers updated on progress
- Present customers with options for additional repairs or services as needed
- Assist in managing warranty and insurance claims, ensuring all relevant paperwork and communications are processed correctly and in a timely manner
- Facilitate the delivery or pick up of vessels with customers, ensuring all issues have been resolved and the customer is satisfied
- Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business
- Document and keep all systems and software updated
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements:
- 100% positive attitude required, no exceptions.
- 3+ years’ experience as a Service Advisor, preferably within the marine industry.
- Working knowledge of marine vessels, service needs, systems, and repair processes.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, and ability to learn proprietary software and scheduling systems; Salesforce experience a plus
- Customer-oriented; ability to clearly communicate technical details with empathy
- Ability to multitask and prioritize multiple service requests simultaneously
- Experience operating a Forklift is a plus
- Willingness to cross train across Parts and Shipping & Receiving to provide coverage as needed
- Bilingual in Spanish is extremely beneficial
- Ability to work overtime as needed, with focus on spring and fall seasons
