As a CMM Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) inspection process, providing guidance and support to operators in resolving day-to-day inspection challenges. You will assist in developing methods, selecting appropriate devices, and implementing corrective actions to ensure the highest standards of quality and accuracy. In addition to your leadership role, you will also actively participate in daily production activities, contributing to the overall success of our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • CMM Inspection Oversight:
    Lead and manage the CMM inspection process to ensure quality standards are met. Guide operators in resolving inspection-related issues by providing technical expertise on inspection methods, tools, and corrective actions.
  • Problem-Solving & Support:
    Assist operators in troubleshooting and resolving daily inspection challenges. Provide hands-on support when required to address complex issues related to measurement accuracy and precision.
  • Production Contribution:
    When not guiding inspection operations, contribute directly to achieving daily production goals. Support the team by participating in manufacturing processes, ensuring smooth workflow, and meeting deadlines.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    Drive continuous improvement initiatives by evaluating and refining inspection processes. Implement best practices and recommend enhancements to optimize performance and reduce errors.
  • Collaboration:
    Work closely with production, quality, and engineering teams to ensure alignment of inspection processes with overall production goals. Foster open communication and teamwork to maintain a collaborative and efficient work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with CMM programming, inspection techniques, and related equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex inspection issues.
  • Familiarity with high-tech manufacturing processes, quality standards, and production workflows.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to mentor and support operators.
  • Ability to work independently and contribute as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Previous experience in a lead or supervisory role in a manufacturing or quality control setting is a plus.
