A leading public accounting firm is in need of a Tax Manager to help with their growing client base. In this role you will be responsible for managing and overseeing tax functions for a variety of businesses. This will include both corporate and partnership tax returns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and review tax returns (including C-Corporations, S-Corporations, and partnerships) to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant tax laws.
- Oversee the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns for clients, ensuring timely submissions.
- Provide strategic tax planning and advisory services to clients, identifying opportunities for tax savings and risk mitigation.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their business objectives and develop tailored tax strategies.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop junior tax staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and regulations, assess their impact on clients, and communicate necessary adjustments.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as their trusted tax advisor.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification required.
- A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in tax within a public accounting firm.
- Comprehensive knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
- Demonstrated experience with other business tax returns, including partnerships and S-Corporations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex tax issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- Proven leadership and team management abilities.
- Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
