Civil Litigation Trial Attorney - Criminal Prosecution Experience (No Book of Business Required)
A prestigious and well-established national law firm headquartered in Tucker, GA, seeks a dynamic and driven Civil Litigation Trial Attorney. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in criminal prosecution and a deep understanding of civilian warrant applications. This role is perfect for a former prosecutor ready to transition into civil litigation and leverage their skills in a new context.
Billable Hour Requirement: 1600 per year
Salary plus quarterly incentive bonus and end-of-year discretionary bonus
(Incentive Bonus paid Quarterly for any hours exceeding 400 billable per quarter)
Key Responsibilities:
- Case Management: Handle a diverse caseload of civil litigation matters, including but not limited to personal injury, contract disputes, property disputes, and professional liability.
- Legal Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategies and ensure compliance with current laws and regulations.
- Courtroom Representation: Represent clients in court hearings, trials, mediations, and arbitrations. Present compelling arguments, examine witnesses, and negotiate settlements.
- Drafting Legal Documents: Draft legal documents such as complaints, motions, briefs, discovery requests, and responses.
- Client Consultation: Advise clients on their legal rights and obligations and provide strategic guidance to achieve the best possible outcomes.
- Warrant Applications: Utilize your expertise in civilian warrant applications to provide insight and guidance on relevant matters.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure comprehensive legal representation and client satisfaction.
- Continuing Education: Stay current with civil litigation and criminal law developments and warrant applications through ongoing professional development and training.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) Degree: From an accredited law school.
- Bar Admission: Active license to practice law in Georgia.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in criminal prosecution with substantial experience in civilian warrant applications. Experience in civil litigation is highly desirable.
