Senior Electrical Engineer – Digital Hardware (110-136K)


We have a fantastic opportunity available to join a cutting-edge DoD sensing technology manufacturer in the Syracuse area.

·         Collaborate with a highly skilled, multidisciplinary engineering team developing next-generation products.

 

Responsibilities:

·         Lead the design and development of advanced digital hardware for next-generation products.

·         Design multi-layer PCBs, develop schematics, and support board layout activities.

·         Architect and develop FPGA solutions using VHDL and/or Verilog on modern Xilinx platforms.

·         Perform hardware integration, testing, validation, troubleshooting, and production support.

·         Design high-speed digital interfaces, data acquisition systems, digital signal processing (DSP), and communication architectures.

·         Develop Python and Bash scripts to automate engineering workflows and improve efficiency.

·         Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams throughout the entire product development lifecycle.

 

Education and Experience:

·         Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.

·         5+ years of digital hardware design experience.

·         Experience designing analog and digital circuits including FPGAs, microcontrollers, memory, and high-speed interfaces.

·         Hands-on experience using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and similar lab equipment.

·         Experience with VHDL and/or Verilog.

·         Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

·         U.S. Citizenship required with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance.

 

Preferred Experience:

  • Altium Designer.
  • Xilinx Vivado.
  • RF Systems or Software Defined Radio (SDR).
  • Digital Signal Processing (DSP).
  • MATLAB, Python, and Linux.
  • Experience performing design reviews and providing technical leadership.
