A leading provider of industrial motor repair, field service, and rotating equipment solutions is seeking a Sales Territory Account Representative to drive business growth across the Eastern United States. This position is responsible for developing and expanding customer relationships within the nuclear power generation market while supporting utilities, EPC firms, and industrial customers with critical repair, retrofit, and aftermarket service solutions.
The successful candidate will combine strong technical knowledge of industrial motors and rotating equipment with a proven ability to develop strategic customer relationships and generate revenue growth. This role will serve as the primary commercial contact for customers throughout the territory, supporting planned outages, emergency service needs, and long-term maintenance initiatives. This is a highly visible position with significant autonomy and direct impact on the growth of the business.
Essential Responsibilities:Develop and execute territory sales strategies to increase revenue, market share, and customer penetration throughout the Eastern United States.
Manage and expand key customer relationships across nuclear utilities, EPC organizations, and industrial accounts.
Serve as the primary commercial contact for customers requiring motor repair, rewinds, balancing, field service, retrofit, and aftermarket support.
Provide technical consultation regarding industrial motors, rotating equipment, nuclear qualification requirements, and equipment lifecycle management.
Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities while maintaining strong relationships with existing customers.
Develop strategic account plans and growth initiatives for key customers and target markets.
Coordinate closely with operations, field service, engineering, quality, and finance teams to ensure successful project execution and customer satisfaction.
Conduct customer site visits, equipment assessments, outage planning meetings, and service reviews.
Support outage mobilizations and urgent customer requirements to ensure responsiveness during critical operating periods.
Prepare technical proposals, quotations, and commercial solutions that meet customer specifications and procurement requirements.
Maintain accurate CRM records, sales forecasts, call reports, opportunity tracking, and territory activity plans.
Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive activity to identify new growth opportunities and improve market positioning.
Represent the organization professionally during customer meetings, industry events, trade shows, and high-pressure outage environments.
7+ years of experience in industrial sales, rotating equipment, motor repair, electrical equipment, power generation, or related technical industries.
Direct knowledge of the Nuclear Power Generation industry required.
Experience supporting repair, overhaul, retrofit, or aftermarket services for industrial motors strongly preferred.
Experience with rotating equipment including motors, generators, pumps, compressors, turbines, or gearboxes highly preferred.
Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Technical Field, Business, Manufacturing, or related discipline preferred.
Demonstrated success managing large territories and developing long-term customer relationships.
Strong understanding of nuclear quality requirements, traceability standards, outage planning, and utility procurement processes preferred.
Excellent communication, presentation, technical writing, and customer relationship management skills.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, customer demands, and travel schedules simultaneously.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM platforms.
Ability and willingness to travel extensively throughout the Eastern United States (50%+).
