Business Process Manager (Plant Manager)-Hagerstown MD

Summary of Positions:
The Business Process Manager manages the high volume of work performed at one of our client’s conversion facilities, producing paper towels, toilet paper and napkins, as well as other products. You will lead and develop the management team through the assignment of product goals and objectives aligned with operational goals and company purpose, vision, values and mission. Provide guidance and direction for the supervisors and professional staff’s achievement of assigned performance objectives. You will be responsible for developing organizational structures/plans to support ongoing operations, developing and managing a budget, as well as strategies to maximize material usage, coupled with proper consideration for labor application across all shifts.
Primary Job Duties:
Provide leadership and oversight for the conversion operations in Hagerstown
Design, develops, and implement daily production plans
Coordinates schedules with sales and customer orders to ensure commitments are honored or exceeded.
Utilize key metrics to improve quality, reduce costs and ensure that all production work orders are consistently met or exceeded standards.
Works with senior leadership team to understand client/production commitments/goals
Effectively motivates staff to create a highly engaged workforce.
Ensures that multiple staff members are available to support each function within the production departments.
Identifies key associates/top performers and implement plans to help them reach their full potential through various training and work assignments.
Provides assigned staff with performance feedback on an ongoing basis. Prepares/delivers periodic performance reviews for assigned staff. Develops performance/career development plans to help them achieve their potential.
Manages relationships with employees, external customers, suppliers and contractors, and industry associations.
Promote and maintain a safe working environment and adhere to OSHA safety standards.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
An experience leader with manufacturing and business acumen, understanding conversion technology utilizing state-of-the-art equipment.
Strong material management and labor management expertise to coordinate production schedules to customer requirements.
Must have strong analytical skills to be able to effectively consolidate and report critical information to management.
Strong PC skills. Must possess strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, and Excel, advanced formulas, file linking, charts/graphs, etc.)
Experienced in job costing, time and motion studies, textile engineering
Must possess solid organizational skills.
Must possess strong oral and written communication skills across all levels
Strong interpersonal skills.
Must have strong and demonstrated leadership skills and be able to develop staff, including other leaders, as well as motivate a large and diverse organization.
