Job Description
Are you a working machining supervisor that enjoys being out on the floor in the mix of it all while mentoring others?  Do you have maintenance or metal work experience?  Do you want to be part of a growing, nonunion plant?   Are you available to work 3rd shift 11:00 pm to 7:00 am.?

Due to addition of a shift, company is adding a working supervisor.  Looking for experience in a machining manufacturing plant.  

Maintenance/Production Group Leader Position
 
This is a hand’s on position that will oversee all aspects of the maintenance, production lines and affiliated equipment, building and grounds.   Group leader will assist in running of equipment and maintaining production objectives throughout the shift. Schedule work and manpower to meet production demands, maintain the preventative maintenance system and work toward meeting or exceeding the plant’s safety and uptime goals. Work with and develop relationships with outside contractors when needed.  Will also be responsible for maintaining stock levels for spare parts. Establish and maintain mechanical integrity and equipment reliability programs to ensure employee safety provide environmental security and maximize the plant’s availability, product quality, and cost effectiveness. Other primary duties include: ownership of the plant’s PM/PdM activities; leadership of equipment performance tracking and repair/improvement prioritization; technical guidance and coaching of mechanical craftsmen; and engineering support of maintenance and capital projects.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with hands on maintenance.
  • Welding experience in both MIG and ARC.
  • Knowledge of CNC/Acme Machines and Cold Heading Machines.
  • Previous supervisory experience required
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, blue prints, schematics, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to calculate figures.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Knowledge and experience with Preventative Maintenance programs. Knowledge of Electronic and Electrical principals.
  • Experienced at writing: employee appraisals/evaluations, Maintenance procedures.
  • Must be computer literate.
